Exceptional broodmares
Dja'lah (DRE ****) Powerful but Quiet !
Tall and remarkably well-built you would think she was an adorable gentle young thing, easygoing and a bit lazy- don't be taken in by appearances! She always comes out on top, sure but steady, she just needs to find her own pace. Her progeny's results more than speak for themselves!
Diardob (DRE****) also known as Mrs. Bulldozer
A nickname that suits her down to the ground. She's the first one you see and hear, with her resounding hoofbeats.A dominant character but very kind and gentle, when properly handled...Her power and athletic paces are transmitted to all her progeny.
Jerezana (DRE****)or rather MADAME Jerezana !
..because her ladyship commands respect!Very independent and sensitive, she keeps herself apart from the others, and likes to lead a quiet life!
She is a very beautiful classy mare, typically Arab, whose progeny never cease to amaze us.
Téquia
"The Little Spanish Girl" with a big character never ceases to amaze us (her son by Persik,JAFAR was 7/8 year old World Vice-Champion in 2004 ,and in 2009 her eldest son Antares du Sauveterre won the two stages of the Emirates Ladies' Cup at over 27k.p.h. with World Champion Maria Alvares Ponton.
The Favourite, tough but exceptionally kind, make no mistake, she is Diardob's daughter!
She was a remarkable competitor,5th at Florac,7th at Monpazier in the year when there were 200 entrants.
She almost died from colic at her 2nd Florac race,it was her fighting spirit that saved her life. Now she produces excellent foals, her first has just completed his first 130km at Cron in great style.
It was with Azia that Aurelie Noel triumphantly completed her first nationals, before her sad death in a road accident.
Saga Du Sauveterre
This young mare has a very nice temperament, gentle and affectionate but very forceful-she bosses the younger horses about, and she never shares her feed!
She has exceptional bloodlines, and is expecting in April her first foal by Reve du Sauveterre, son of the great Dja'Lah!
Kalima Du Sauveterre
The quiet strength of her sire Roco IBN Persik coupled with the showiness and fight of her dam Diardob, she is the 3/4 sister of:
- Issane el Faysset winner at Bonifacio and at Florac ridden by Stéphanie Arnal.
- Menkib el Faysset , European Team Champion in Ireland, second at Newmarket, second at Compiègne 160km, bronze medallist at the French Championship at Florac with Cécile Demiere.
Tolède,daughter of Téquia and Branik, three-quarter sister of Antarès world vice champion.
Disabled following a heavy blow to her knee, she will never compete, but we hope she will pass on her beauty, energy and temperament to many foals in the future.
