On the vast semi-arid expanses of the Causse de Sauveterre, not far from the legendary Florac 160km trail, the Ecuries du Sauveterre Endurance Horse Stud Farm is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary!

Jean Basset had the foresight to bring together three Grandes Dames (Diardob, Jerezana and Dja'lah) who brought great influence and success to this emblematic stud farm of Persikland endurance horses. He managed  to keep the best youngsters, and entrust them, at the right time, to experienced riders, resulting in immediate success ! (see results).

Today,Jean and Dany watch over the prospects of about thirty of the descendants of these endurance foundation bloodlines worthy of bearing the Sauveterre name of their predecessors...
