A big mouth and a big heart, that's Yves Richardier! He's often irritating, he can be like a bull in a china shop, but however:
- he was the real initiator, within the Cévennes National Park, of such important events as the purchase of Persik, and the creation of the 160km Florac race, the "French Tevis Cup"...
- he gave the local breeders sound advice on building up their studs on good foundations (it was thanks to him that Jean-Claude Maurin bought Azia bint Djebelia and also that Francis Poujol bought Dja'lah) ...
- he spends his days (and undoubtedly some of his nights) studying pedigrees, gathering results, writing copiously and watching over his Persikland flock like a mother hen and her chicks (which is sometimes very annoying!)
